Cloud Consultant

To meet the strong demand in existing and new projects, we are currently looking for a Cloud Consultant to join the existing team in our office from Bucharest (Computas Development Center) and to be engaged in challenging projects and deliver cloud solutions.
The office in Bucharest houses a dedicated team with large growth plans. It provides good opportunities to have a central role, where you can help influence which way the company should go, and help build the culture in the office. Responsibilities
- Work on tasks from domains like: cloud infrastructure, resource provisioning automation, measurement/metrics, application modernization, cloud interoperability, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, migration and transformation to cloud
- Review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
- Modify, improve and/or migrate existing solutions
- Write solution documentation and reports, create documentation templates
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal solutions
- Interact with clients, provide support and make recommendations based on client requirements and needs
- Commitment to deliver in Agile processes highlighting change while accelerating delivery
Requirements
- Graduate of Computer Science / Cybernetics / Information Technology
- +3 years experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
- +5 years of overall hands-on experience in it / operations / networking / security / programming and data structures
- Ability to understand complex solutions and to set-up and manage virtualized/cloud environments
- Broad understanding of infrastructure architecture both on premises and cloud
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking and security
- Experience in integrating (cloud native) services in secure, efficient and scalable solutions
- Knowledge of core aspects of Cloud Security including identity and access management, configuring network security, pki infrastructure
- Understanding of “Zero Trust” principles (service mesh experience)
- Basic knowledge of API principles, application design, software engineering, containerization, configuration management
- Experience with deployment of containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment
- Knowledge of “Infrastructure as a Code” principles
- Hands-on experience in automation and scripting
- Strong experience with CI/CD principles and automation tools
- Ability to implement service monitoring strategies and optimize service performanceExperience with monitoring and management of cloud native services integrations
- Experience with application performance monitoring
- Experience in working with service monitoring and log analysis and audit tools
- Ability to manage and learn from incidents
- Strong Linux knowledge and skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Consultancy and customer management skills
- Advanced English speaking and writing abilities;
- Ability to work both independently and in a (collocated) team environment
- Availability to travel abroad at least 25% of the time;
Nice to have
- Google Cloud / Azure / AWS Cloud Certifications
- Understanding DevOps principles e.g. “3 Ways” (Flow, Feedback, Continuous Learning and Improvement)
- Good knowledge of “Site Reliability Engineering” principles (SRE)
- Experience in working with a hybrid/multi cloud environment
- Familiar with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence
