Conferences are a labor-intensive process for organizers. The organization of speakers, sponsors, participants, production of programs, and securing of venues is a complex undertaking.

A year of planning culminates in a few days where everything must run smoothly. Changes often occur, even up to and during the conference. The program, participants, and information need to be frequently updated. A conference app can solve many time-consuming and costly processes. No need to reprint programs, easy administration of both participants and speakers – even the ability to contact participants directly via the app. IKT-Norge and the Ministry of Health and Care Services are organizing the international health conference EHiN-FH 2016 and therefore contacted us to implement a complete and comprehensive conference app.

The conference app provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the conference’s academic content, practical information about the conference itself, and the opportunity to see who else is attending. Users can create their own agenda by selecting the presentations they want to attend as their favorites and also follow a dedicated Twitter feed for the conference. In a related web interface, the organizer can manage all the content for the conference and administer participants’ access to their own profile and the participant list in the app.
