GrejFreak.dk is a Danish e-commerce retailer specializing in hunting and outdoor equipment. The online store offers thousands of products, including brand-new high-end items and a wide range of upcycled and recycled military surplus. GrejFreak.dk is a Gazelle-certified company operating in a highly competitive market with numerous international competitors. 

Thousands of product descriptions that must be adapted to local needs

GrejFreak.dk aimed to rapidly expand into international markets, such as the United Kingdom and Germany. Given the increasing number of products and categories, as well as a wide range of local demands for specialized products in each country, a manual translation process and ongoing adaptation to the new markets would have been a costly and resource-intensive endeavor.

A solution that accompanies growth

In collaboration with Computas, Grejfreak.dk implemented Tradukki. Initially a Danish-language webshop serving only Denmark, GrejFreak.dk has expanded its operations to nine countries, with localized websites tailored to meet the specific needs and languages of each market.

GrejFreak.dk CEO Kristian Rasmussen commented, ‘We have experienced consistent growth and have been named a Gazelle company by Børsen for five consecutive years. It was therefore a natural step for GrejFreak.dk to explore markets beyond Denmark. Our expansion plans gained significant momentum in 2019 and 2020, starting with the English market. At the time, we manually translated our webshop, which proved to be very time-consuming given our extensive product catalog. We sought a more efficient and cost-effective solution and discovered Tradukki. With Tradukki, our ‘time to market’ has been significantly reduced, as have our translation costs, allowing us to focus on our core business of selling outdoor products.’

GrejFreak.dk now has a presence in nine European markets, each with a customized webshop.
