The pace in the pursuit of concrete gains from AI is now accelerating. Not airy future visions, but actual solutions that save time, improve employee workflows, and make customers more satisfied.

Time-wasters in information flow
Efficiency often comes down to one thing: employees in the company no longer wasting time searching for, asking about, and waiting for information. This time-waster leads to frustration and interruptions, while demands from customers, partners, management, and in many cases, authorities, become tougher.
For the sixth consecutive year, Computas, in cooperation with Norstat, has surveyed Norwegian leaders’ attitudes towards digitalization and artificial intelligence. The 2025 results paint a clear picture:
- 66 % of Norwegian leaders state that AI assistants like Copilot are relevant for streamlining employees’ daily work.
- 51 % point to the efficiency of processes and case management as a relevant area of application.
- 35 % mention customer service and internal service solutions, such as chatbots on websites, as relevant areas.
So what’s stopping us from getting started?
The barriers are clear in the survey. Concern about competence, uncertainty about regulations, and fear of making the wrong choices:
- 57 % lack competence.
- 46 % are unsure about laws and regulations.
- 32 % cite budget as an obstacle.
Additional findings from the survey show that there are also other obstacles that limit the implementation of AI solutions:
- 37 % of respondents state ethical issues as an obstacle.
- 29 % see a lack of facilitation and guidelines from public agencies as a problem.
- 25 % are concerned about using American cloud services, given the geopolitical situation.
This is where tailored technology and solid advice can make a difference:
– It’s not about revolutionizing everything in the first round. It’s about testing, learning along the way, and building the necessary skills. Those who start early build experience, learn faster, and get better returns from the technology, says Pål Vermund Knudsen, Chief Architect at Computas.

AI that works in everyday life
Computas builds solutions that:
- Retrieve and connect information across systems.
- Understand natural language and provide concrete, understandable answers.
- Reduce the need for manual training and support.
- Use your own data – securely, transparently, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The solutions are developed so employees feel more secure and work faster without having to learn complicated new systems. Tailored AI helps you clear up the chaos. Employees get more time for what they’re good at: advising, customer contact, and value creation. Many see the value quickly – and can get started without large investments. According to the 2025 survey, 9 % of companies have measured and seen concrete gains from using AI services, while 29 % have noticed gains without performing formal measurements.
– We see that many companies spend a lot of time answering internal and external inquiries – whether it concerns HR, IT, or finance. There, an AI assistant can be like getting a new colleague: someone you train with your own routines, who can handle everything from questions about opening hours to internal processes, says Pål Vermund Knudsen.
SpareBank1 SMN: “Korsn Copilot” frees up time and resources
SpareBank1 SMN has over 1700 employees in banking, accounting, and real estate, and has every reason to explore how artificial intelligence can support employees in their daily lives. They wanted to find a solution that could help employees with quick and secure access to documents, routines, and answers to internal questions – without unnecessarily burdening colleagues or support. With Computas, they have now ensured:
- Shorter path to answers.
- Reduced pressure on internal resources.
- More confident advisors and better customer experiences.
- Exploration of AI for meeting minutes, transcription, and coaching.
The AI assistant that helps employees with quick access to information about internal routines and processes has been given the name “Korsn Copilot”. It quickly finds its way through over 1000 pages of internal information, structured in various hierarchies and data formats in SharePoint.
– Korsn Copilot has become the colleague you can always ask. Searches deep within the library have now been replaced by conversations with a digital subject matter expert available 24/7, says Line Lauvsnes Oddekalv, Communications Manager at SpareBank1 SMN.
Korsn Copilot has been available to the bank’s employees since October 2024, and within the first six months, 1337 of the 1700 employees have started using the solution. They have performed over 30,000 queries, and that number is constantly increasing.
Based on these measurements, SpareBank 1 SMN estimates an expected annual gain of over 3.5 million Norwegian kroner. And that’s just for this one assistant. The solution was developed with an emphasis on security, control, and practical utility. Everything runs on the bank’s own data.

Fast and secure AI implementation
With today’s technology, you can quickly and easily build AI tools that understand your business more and more intimately. A “custom copilot” can help employees search internal documents with completely natural language – without code or analytical tools. It can provide summaries and answers in real-time, and automate inquiries and knowledge sharing. All without losing control over your data. Computas delivers these solutions to customers with high demands for both security and quality – like SpareBank 1 SMN.
