About us
Computas is a Nordic provider of IT solutions and consulting services in technological innovation. We deliver value-adding solutions for the public benefit to both public and private sectors.
Our expertise lies especially in public administration, justice, supervision, health, logistics, power and energy. Our interdisciplinary teams offer the expertise required throughout the digitization process. We work closely with our customers to develop tailor-made solutions with high usability.
Computas was established in Norway in 1985. Today, we are 350 employees – and we are 100 percent employee-owned. Our head office is located in Akersgata in central Oslo. We also have offices in Trondheim, Copenhagen, Malmö, Bucharest (Romania), and a dedicated company for Atlassian solutions and services – Computas Opus.
Our history
Computas was established in 1985 as a subsidiary of Det Norske Veritas (now DNV GL). As the first company in Norway, we delivered systems based on applied artificial intelligence to Veritas and, also, to other clients in industry and public administration. This has been a sustainable foundation for the development and growth of the company and has gained renewed relevance through today’s focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud-based solutions. Today, we have 350 employees and are 100 percent owned by our employees.
