A concrete example from our experience is the work we have done with a large building supply chain, where we have automated order processing throughout the entire value chain. This includes everything from how an order is received from the customer to how the product is handled in logistics and finally delivered. The automation is designed so that salespeople can easily understand the decisions being made, which creates confidence and builds trust in the system. This allows salespeople to focus more on customers while the system takes care of repetitive and time-consuming tasks like order processing. The result is improved efficiency, increased availability outside opening hours, and a better overall experience for both customers and employees.

The company also wanted to explore how artificial intelligence, including machine learning and language models like GPT, could further improve their order process. Through research and workshops, a proof of concept (POC) was developed to show how technology can structure unstructured orders—such as those received via email—and automatically create orders in the company’s ERP system.

AI for Smarter Pricing

AI also offers new opportunities for dynamic and smarter pricing. With highly precise forecasting models, businesses can adjust prices based on season, inventory, and local markets. We are helping a large international furniture chain develop and test AI models that streamline pricing both online and in-store.
