Jira Software is a tool for managing tasks that allowing you to prioritize and discuss work tasks in the right context. Jira was traditionally was used for system development, but today several other units also find great benefit in managing their tasks by using this tool. Jira offers flexible customisation of team workflows and creates overview and insight across projects.

Jira introductory course

Jira for advanced users is the course for you who have some knowledge of and have previously worked in Jira, but who need to learn more about how projects can be managed. The course takes a thorough review of how functionalities in a project are connected. With insight into how new projects are created and configured, as well as tips for best practices, you will have a good basis for customizing your Jira projects to match the needs of your team.

After completing the course, you will be able to take on the role of project or team leader with newfound confidence. You will know how to utilize advanced Jira functionality tailored to your project or team’s needs. In the course you will practice with practical assignments.

Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience using all configurable elements in Jira: Issue types, Screens, Custom fields, Workflows

Advanced search with JQL including features, date fields and case statuses

Configuration of dashboards for project or team

Jira for administrator

Typical participants: Experienced Jira users who will manage Jira in their own company

Jira for Administrator is the course for you who are an experienced user of Jira, but who need to learn more about how to configure Jira. The course takes a thorough review of how all the building blocks of Jira are connected; forms, workflows, task types, fields, screens, and roles. With insight into how this is connected, and tips for best practice, you will have a good basis for adapting the tool to match the needs of your company and team.

After completing the course, you will have detailed knowledge of how to configure Jira projects based on good practice. You will know what adjustments must, can and should not be made to ensure a future-oriented and easy-to-maintain Jira instance. You will have detailed knowledge of user groups, project roles and how to manage user access and rights in Jira in general and projects in particular. The goal of the course is that you are left with the knowledge and skills to use all building blocks to establish a user-friendly layout tailored to your business needs.
